Try Interact Quiz Review: How I Grow My Email List By 1300+ Monthly!
Considering Try Interact Quiz for your business? I share my review after using it for 1 year on my blog.
I would panic if 1,300+ new people met me every month in real life. But on my email list? No problem!
I’ve heard all the stories, read all the blog posts, and taken all the mini courses on growing your email list. I created 8 different opt in freebies, put them in all the right places, and did all the “right” things.
But my email list capped at 75 people in four years. All that work and only 75 people…
Legit that was me in December 2021. Cut to September 2022 when I grew my list to 5k highly engaged expat-hopefuls.
How the f*ck did I do it?? Let’s talk about exactly what I did and how Try Interact Quiz Builder scaled my income in this review.
The Best Quiz Builder
Try Interact Quiz
Try Interact Quiz software is a powerful marketing tool for bloggers. It allows you to easily create online quizzes on your website that help engage visitors and drive conversions.
With Try Interact, you can instantly collect leads and emails while driving user engagement and boosting website traffic.
What is Interact Quiz?
Interact Quiz is an online quiz maker that can help you generate leads (pending you set it up correctly).
It’s not the only quiz maker in the game, but I like that, for the most part, you don’t have to stitch a bunch of tools together. They have integrations with a lot of your favorite programs, and Zapier if you work with something different.
Ultimately, this tool makes it easy for you to quickly create a quiz that will capture the attention of your audience. Capturing the right audience is the best way to capture valuable needs and earn cash.
Benefits of Using a Quiz to Collect Leads
Quizzes make GREAT lead magnets (just ask my list). Using a quiz to collect leads has some serious benefits.
Not only is it easy to do, but it can help you get in touch with the thoughts and opinions of your audience. Those make for some seriously valuable insights when you’re trying to create content that will simply hit the right people.
Quizzes provide you with a way to deliver education content that adds value to whatever your clients are looking for. You can help them determine what kind of blogger they are or whether or not a Great Dane is the right kind of pet for them. Whatever you help your audience with, it gives you a serious outlet for providing insights in an interactive way.
Finally, quizzes are my FAVORITE way to get leads. They’re a real game changer for those of us that are trying to generate quality leads.
By taking advantage of the benefits that quizzes offer, you can gain a serious competitive edge in your target market.
How Does Interact Work?
Out of all the things that Interact has going for it, the fact that the tool is so easy to use is probably one of my favorite parts. Here’s are the five (super easy) steps it takes to get started on Interact Quiz and start bringing in leads:
Step 1. Decide What to Make a Quiz About
The first step to creating a stellar quiz that captures the hearts and minds of your audience is to plan for something that provides serious value. You want to provide answers to questions that your audience is interested in.
You want the topic to be something that compels them to start taking it because they must know the answer. By creating a quiz that engages and interests them, you will be able to provide them with the valuable insight they are looking for and get them to provide you their email address.
Step 2. Sign Up for Interact
You can’t start building a quiz without signing up for Interact (go figure). The good news is that while the price is a little higher than you might want to spend ($49 per month), they do offer a 14 day free trial. This gives you an opportunity to make sure it’s the right fit.
Signing up is as simple as providing an email and password. You’ll get a chance to test out all their features before you have to start paying for them. I would highly encourage you to get your quiz out there as fast as you can so you can get the full feel for the trial.
Step 3. Create a Quiz
Once you’ve signed up, it’s time for the fun part: creating your quiz.
Try Interact Quiz makes building quizzes a ton of fun and incredibly easy. They have a ton of templates and pre-made quizzes that you can start working with right away. Of course, you can start from scratch, as well. Whatever you decide to do.
You simply input your questions, start making your quiz look nice, and connect the questions to valuable answers that will help your audience and entice them to sign up for your list. However you want to do it, it’s a GREAT way to engage your audience.
You can even use Jasper.ai to write the questions!
Type of Quiz You Can Make with Try Interact
A) Personality Quiz – Designed to match people to a result based on their personality. This is commonly used for “what type of food are you” style quizzes that you see on Buzzfeed.
B) Scoring/IQ Quiz – Ranks someone’s knowledge of a topic and puts them in categories. For example if you got 80/100 you’d be a certain IQ type.
C) Assessment Quiz – Designed to teach people. Think of the quizzes you took at school that were used to determine your knowledge/skills. The quiz results are basically your grade here.
Step 4. Connect to Your Email List
You can’t collect emails if you don’t connect your quiz to your email list.
Interact makes this a piece of cake, with built-in integrations to many of your favorite email marketing tools. But if you happen to use one that doesn’t natively integrate, you can use something like Zapier (built right into the tool) that can make connecting easy.
It does connect with Convertkit and Mailerlite though, so you likely won’t need this.
You WANT those emails on your list. You want them engaged, and you want them ready to buy. Not only is this a great way to build relationships, but it’s awesome for providing you with a solid stream of income.
Step 5. Put it On Your Site
Once you’ve created your quiz, it’s time to get it on your site.
I highly recommend choosing a quiz for your name that’s SEO friendly and can be written into a post that can possibly rank on Google. This gives you a funnel of sorts that you can use to bring in leads. Not to mention, it’s simply a great way to house your quiz.
But you don’t want to embed it in just that one place, you want to also add it to any relevant posts. Every published post too should feature a lead magnet or product that can connect you with a future audience that’s very engaged.
My Experience: Try Interact Quiz Review
The past year has been a massively transformative year, if you’ve been following me for a while now you know that I’ve experienced some seriously unexpected growth.
However, this email list took it to an entirely different level for me.
I honestly figured email marketing simply wasn’t for me.
I get all the same emails you do, and I just didn’t want to contribute to that crowd.
Nor were my current email methods working for me (hello, 75 signups). But my friend Jessie on a Journey had been telling me for 6 months to make a quiz for lead generation.
I had a couple quizzes I’d made for fun, but they were free so they didn’t gather emails. I just simply made them. But after 6 months of dragging my feet, I finally got down to business… and boy was it a serious game changer!
Using Try Interact Quizzes to Grow My Email List
Here’s the quick-and-dirty process that I did to skyrocket my email list’s growth:
1) I found a keyword by searching “[niche] quiz” in Keysearch. You want to do a quiz on a topic you can rank for because it’ll be easier to bring the leads in on autopilot.
2) I wrote a bomb ass, SEO optimized post. (This is the step most people skip. By doing it, you can reach #1 so easily!).
3) I created a quiz with TryInteract (my fave quiz software!). You can use their premade templates or you can build one from scratch — either way, they make it incredibly easy.
4) I made custom answers that funnel people to a) a specific blog post related to their result, b) a list of affiliate tools for booking travel, and c) and opt-in sequence full of tips that make me money via affiliates. This way, I have a tailored audience and I know EXACTLY what they’re looking for.
5) Turn on the opt-in form to collect email addresses and tie it to your email provider. The best practice is to let people choose whether or not to give their email, but most will.
It’s an easy formula that you can absolutely repeat, no matter what your niche is.
In fact, I now have multiple quizzes for this site. Check out my personality quizzes here and my spirit animal SEO quiz here.
My Quiz Blew Up So Much I Broke My Email Provider!
The truth is, I built this quiz and kind of forgot about it (oops). That is until two months later when I couldn’t send my weekly email.
It turns out I had maxed my free account in legit SIX WEEKS with this quiz — I had over 1,500 new people on my list.
Mailerlite was having a bit of a tantrum.
The best part is that it’s not just random people who signed up for free things then never engage. My email lists opens the emails I send, respond to them, as questions and, most importantly, they make purchases.
This quiz was a big part of my first $10k month. It gave me a HUGE bump with my affiliates, because I put them in my emails first.
The best part is, this isn’t a one-hit-wonder strategy. It continues to work.
To this day I get 1,300+ new people monthly from this quiz I made for one site.
Try Interact Quiz Pricing
I was in a Facebook group the other week and someone asked if anyone had experience using quizzes for lead generation.
Ever helpful and totally addicted to social media, I popped in and said yep, and it got me over 1,300+ people in a single month.
Then I shared the platform I used.
People went NUTS (in a good way).
I got so many DMs, and a number of new faces on my list after taking my quiz to try it out. But one common current ran through their responses: “that’s too expensive”.
So let’s take a look at what that expensive software actually gets you:
Lite Plan ($39 per month)
I started out on the Lite plan, and I highly recommend you do too. There’s no need to invest more than you need to get your quiz off the ground. In no time, you’ll have enough people on your list that monetizing them can justify spending a little bit more. On this starter plan, you get:
- 5 quizzes
- Up to 500 leads per month
- Branching logic
- Results page CTA
- Basic integrations with email service providers
- Basic analytics
Note that this doesn’t have a white label option.
This is the one I started with for my travel site.
Growth Plan ($89 per month)
The Growth plan is what you’ll have to jump to when your basic plan runs out because your quiz brings in so many leads. Not only do you get what’s included with the Lite plan, you get upgraded to:
- 20 quizzes
- Up to 2,000 leads per month
- Custom branding
- Intermediate integrations (including HubSpot and InfusionSoft)
- Advanced analytics (think Google Analytics)
I don’t recommend jumping to this plan until you have the list growth to justify it.
Pro Plan ($209 per month)
The Pro plan is their biggest plan, you will not need this for a while (unless your quiz is THAT hot). You get access to Basic and Lite plan features, along with:
- 50 quizzes
- Up to 8,000 leads per month
- Advanced integrations
- Advanced analytics
The best part is that ALL these plans have a 14 day trial, so you can make sure that it’s the right tool for you.
Try Interact Quiz Review (Vs. Other Quiz Platforms)
Yes, TryInteract is costly. Their Lite plan allows you 5 quizzes (but no white label option) and up to 500 leads per month and will cost you $39.
But it’s actually cheaper than any other quiz platform that collects emails that I tested (cause I’m a budget bitch, so you know I hunted for a free option first). AND I made that money back with two affiliate emails to my list two months later.
I’ve since upgraded the plan to accommodate even more quizzes for all my sites – and I’ve been hired by a number of clients to make ones for their sites too!
You can check out a quiz of mine in action here – in fact it’s the #1 way (aside from podcasts and bundles) that people get on my email list so far.
If you’re not using quizzes to grow your email list yet, I HIGHLY recommend you give it a serious try and see what happens.
Quiz takers are new leads with an incredible conversion rate!
Want to compare the alternatives?
LeadQuizzes: While they don’t feature as many templates that Interact does, you can capture up to 2,500 leads with their lowest price plan. That’ll ring you up $49 per month, but you can only build quizzes for a single website. If you need to quiz up multiple sites, you’ll be looking at their $99 plan.
Riddle: It’s another quiz builder that you could compare with Interact Quiz. However, if you think that’s pricey, you might not want to look here at their €69 price tag. However, you can create unlimited quizzes with their basic Essentials plan. They also offer a free 14 day trial if you’re interested in trying it out.
Youengage: This tool is really all about the full customer lifecycle experience — so you can create things beyond just a simple quiz (if that’s something you need). They do have a free forever plan, which could be good to start on, but you can only have up to 100 responses per month. Their plans then range from $29 to $199 per month.
Quiz vs. Ads for Email Growth
I’m experimenting with ads this year — so check back for a more updated comparison.
But, regardless of what happens, I still believe that a quiz is going to be the more affordable route to grow. Especially if you’re just starting out (there’s no sense in blowing your entire budget on a single ad in your first month).
Unlike ads where I have to spend about $15/day to see some results, TryInteract is less than $39 to start. That’s legit the same as three days of running ads – which may not even bring me as many leads as 1,300+ from something I wrote once. It truly seems like a no-brainer decision.
Ultimately, I’d recommend trying quizzes. When you’re set up and you have a decent sized list already and are making enough money to sustain ads — that’s when you roll out the big (digital) guns.
Other ways to grow your list that have worked for me:
- Bundles!
- Offering freebies in summits
- And going on podcasts and offering a freebie to listeners
Tbh, I haven’t seen great success with email forms on my sites, even on my highest ranking posts.
And my pop ups just succeeded in slowing down my site, making it harder to rank and get into Mediavine (I turned them off two months before I got into Mediavine). Quizzes remain my favorite and most successful way to bring in leads.
After getting all these people on your list, what the heck do you do??
I’m not one for vanity metrics. So I don’t just want a big list for no reason (especially if I’m paying for them!!).
I want an engaged community who buys from me, engages with me, and is my target audience. You have to plan what to do next in these cases. I know because I definitely didn’t!
My friend Laura of Scale Your Travel Blog pushed me to add more affiliates to my email and BAM it worked. Those $10k months started rolling in — and once it starts raining, it pours.
Planning is seriously the key to success. And creating a business plan will be a game changer for your blog.
I started using Liz Wilcox’s email templates where you basically Mad Libs together an email each week. I popped in some affiliates each time and BAM!
$10k arrived in my account and I felt like I was living in a parallel universe, when just the month before I’d had to take another loan from my mom for rent.
Ultimately, quality email lists are a BIG money maker for bloggers. If you haven’t started building one yet, NOW is the time.
How can you use Interact Quiz in your business?
Interact Quiz is an incredibly valuable tool for businesses looking to generate quality leads (like yours!) and learn great insights into their audiences.
I use Interact to gain insights into my audience and provide value to my audience — value that they actually WANT. I can then take those insights and turn them into products and services that are targeted specifically for them.
Generate quality leads and, ultimately, make a little more cash with Interact. Seriously, I think you should try!
So, is Interact Quiz Worth It?
Yes, Interact Quiz is 100% worth it. It gave me the jumpstart I needed to make my list boom, and ultimately it had a massive impact on my business.
If you’re struggling to get leads, or you simply haven’t started yet, I would highly recommend that you try it out for yourself.
They have a number of solid templates that you can use to get started building the right quiz for your audience. And, most importantly, plans that can grow along with your business as it does.

Try Interact Quiz Review FAQs
What is Interact Quiz Maker?
Try Interact Quiz Maker is an online tool that you can use to create a quiz targeted at your ideal audience and collect leads. You can provide additional value to your audience and, eventually, earn some serious cash and grow your business. It was well worth it for me.
What is an alternative to Interact Quiz?
I wholeheartedly believe that Interact is the best quiz maker out there, but there are a few alternatives. We’ve included brief descriptions of Riddle, Youengage and LeadQuizzes, however there are a ton out there. That said, but I believe that Interact really is the best one that lets you capture leads and build a solid audience.
What is the best online quiz maker?
The best online quiz maker in my humble opinion is Interact Quiz builder. It’s the one that changed the list building game for me and helped me skyrocket my business to where it is now. Of course, this isn’t the ONLY contributor, but it’s truly a strategy that I think anyone can implement for any site.
Can you make money from quizzes?
I don’t recommend selling quizzes, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be part of your overall monetization strategy. I offer my quizzes completely free of charge, but most takers sign up for my email list. It’s with my email list that I share my favorite tools (via affiliate links) and sell my different offerings to my audience.
Does interact have a free plan?
Interact does NOT have a free plan, but they do have a free trial. You can get started with 14 days to trial the tool until you have to start paying. I highly recommend taking it for a spin and see what kind of leads you can start bringing in.
