You will need to:
- Check for guest post guidelines on their site (the above all have linked or explicitly explained instructions)
- Check their niche to ensure you pitch something relevant and are not pitching something they already have
- Do keyword research to pitch something that will benefit their audience
- Ensure you don’t pitch a keyword you will want to write on yourself
- Ensure you tailor the pitch and the keyword to their audience rather than focusing on yours
- Provide a sample of your writing. I do this by linking to my blog when I introduce myself
When you get accepted to write the guest post, ensure you follow their guidelines and provide a quality article that you would publish on your own site.
