I turned the exact process I use to dream up weirdly fun gamification ideas into a free ChatGPT or Claude Skill.
It’ll chat with you about your business, help you decide which actions should earn rewards, map out how people join and track their progress, and turn the whole thing into an actual build plan.
Not just “give someone 5 points for clicking a button.”
You could create:
- a referral ladder that unlocks better bonuses
- a content scavenger hunt that encourages people to explore your website
- a student challenge with tasks, milestones and prize entries
- a customer loyalty system based on purchases or total spend
- a collection, passport, quest, badge or points system
- or something delightfully unhinged that neither of us has thought of yet 😅

How to install the Skill

Now it varies a bit by platform 👇
ChatGPT
Open ChatGPT (the site or the app work, doesn’t matter).
Click “Plugins” on the sidebar.
At the top, it says “Plugins” and “Skills”. Click “Skills”.
Click the “+” icon in the top righthand corner. Select “Upload from computer”.
Upload the zip file. Again, keep it zipped!
ChatGPT will upload it and it’ll show up in your “Installed” Skills on the Skills page.
Open a new chat and type “@” and it’ll bring up a list of your Skills. Select the rewards builder, and start chatting.
Claude
Open Claude.
Click “Customize” on the sidebar. It should open “Skills” first, but if not navigate to “Skills” on the pop up’s sidebar.
Click “Add” in the top righthand corner. Select “upload a skill”.
Upload the zip file.
Claude will upload it and add it to your Skills on the Skills page.
Open a new chat and type “/” to bring up all of your skills. Select the rewards skill and start chatting.
How to Use the Skill
The Skill is trained to talk to you and create a custom plan for your rewards system. It will ask you questions and you MUST answer them. Go as in depth as possible to provide it more information to create something custom for your audience.
It will ask you about:
- your business and audience
- the action you want people to take
- who should be included
- how each person is recognized
- which actions can be tracked automatically versus manually
- how progress should work
- what people can earn or unlock
- what participants see when they log in
- and what you need to manage behind the scenes
Then it’ll create the foundation of the system and, if you want, a full build brief you can paste into Codex.
It won’t secretly open accounts, connect your customer data, buy software or launch an untested app onto the internet.
It gets you from “I have a fun idea” to “holy shit, I could actually build this.”
And if you don’t even have the idea yet, it’ll help you brainstorm one!
